SoFi has had a program for its entrepreneurial members for many years and has had more than 70 companies join our program. The entrepreneur program includes: 1) A seed investment from SoFi; 2) A reprieve on the Member’s SoFi loans; 3) Resources, mentorship, office hours, and Q&A sessions; and 4) A Demo Day where our Entrepreneurs will get to pitch their company to leading investors and fellow Members to invest in their project, with a grand prize given by SoFi. The Entrepreneur Program is overseen by the SoFi Ventures team and is seeking an Associate to join its team and work with the Vice President, Logan Allin in running the program. We believe through our investments and support that we can support the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem – expanding the pie – while improving our opportunity to support the financial lives of our Members. We are looking for a new team member who is passionate about entrepreneurship, helping Founders and working with our Members to build their dream business.

The role includes:

Working with the SoFi Member community to identify entrepreneurs working on early stage technology companies (either full or part time)
Conducting market analysis and opportunity identification through SoFi team member input, academic research, interviews, conferences, incubator and University demo days, and peers (Angels/VCs).
Help manage the program application and investment pipeline process to ultimately select the final program batch
Working with marketing/brand to create content, events, and communications to program participants and alumni
Managing the current batch and communications, including a Slack Channel, Entrepreneur Handbook, Q&A Sessions, and other resources
Organizing end-to-end the annual Demo Day for Members in the program to pitch their companies to a room of investors and media to compete for the grand prize and opportunity to receive support from SoFi’s investor network and Members.
Tangential support for SoFi Ventures team in sourcing, diligence, and operating support for its FinTech-focused fund.
Qualifications

A Excitement to join a late stage technology company, pre-IPO, and grow a strategic platform within an existing and successful business that maintains an entrepreneurial mindset
Passion for technology and entrepreneurship
2 years of previous work experience, ideally with a background in corporate technology, start-ups, incubators, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital
B.A. or B.S. in related fields
Strong grasp of technology trends and business models
Small working team experience, strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and an exceptional work ethic and discipline
