Skylo
Skylo Technologies is hiring a Q/A Engineer - onsite, in Espoo, Finland to take responsibility of Radio Access and Core network quality assurance, testing and validation for Skylo’s carrier-grade Satellite IoT network. This is a novel opportunity for someone who is interested to stretch themselves in their network domain, and see their work have immediate global impact in the wireless industry. You will leverage your technical experience in telecom and your domain expertise in verification and validation to ensure Skylo’s first-in-the-world Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) maintains world-class quality end to end.
Responsibilities
Run and enhance Skylo Radio Access and Core network quality assurance, testing and validation process and practice
Take ownership of Skylo Finland development & testing lab
Assume full responsibility of running software testing and related programming
Plan, execute and document tests to verify and validate Skylo Radio Access and Core system behaviour and performance, expose issues, and identify root causes and drive their resolution
Work closely with the RAN, Core and other teams to execute system acceptance testing that will verify component level and end-to-end functionality of the Skylo NTN system
Provide periodic feedback to development teams and document all the aspects of different phases of testing and results including system release versions, demo, lab, PoC, and production network deployments
Support deployment of new software features and hardware
Requirements
Knowledge of RAN and Core systems and related protocols and interfaces such as 4G/LTE/5G, NB-IoT, C-RAN/V-RAN, EMS/NMS/OSS
Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with a variety of test equipment and test automation tools and frameworks such as Robot
Ability to script and/or program in either Bash, Python, Go, Ruby on a Unix/Linux or equivalent program and to execute automation jobs using Jenkins
Hands-on experience using JIRA & Confluence is desirable
Master’s degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications (or equivalent) required, or Bachelor's degree with considerable industrial experience
5+ years of industry experience in System Verification, Test Automation, Quality Assurance or similar position
Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills, and able to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, rapidly growing and evolving environment
