The role

Join the fastest growing segment within the SoFi ecosystem. This role will be focused on driving growth for our Checking & Savings deposit business, focusing on competitive strategy, strategic planning, and pricing decisions for the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a background in deposit pricing or have experience managing a deposit portfolio. In addition, the candidate will be a strategic thinker who is able to analyze data, provide actionable insights, communicate those ideas to senior leadership, and drive change through cross-functional partnership.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead various aspects of deposit growth, including analyzing trends within the portfolio, developing growth strategies, and recommending changes to key factors like our APY
  • Analyze competitive activity and provide guidance on the impact to SoFi’s strategy
  • Collaborate with Marketing to understand the effectiveness of marketing spend and recommend changes to both spend level and channel allocation
  • Work with internal stakeholders across Marketing, EPD, and Operations to develop recurring and bespoke campaigns to drive deposit growth
  • Lead partnerships with external benchmarking firms on deposit pricing and data
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators, dashboards, and reports to track progress and evaluate the success of initiatives
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, including presenting to senior leadership
  • Be seen as a subject matter expert and provide through leadership on the long-term strategy of the business

What you’ll need:

  • Overall 8-10 years of consumer banking and/or payment business experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering etc.)
  • Comfortable working hands-on with large analytical datasets to direct analysis and extract business insights. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong business judgment to turn data into actionable insights
  • Ability to drive timely desired outcomes working collaboratively with various functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business and effectively prioritize tasks. Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • In-depth understanding of the financials (P&L) dynamics of the deposit and card businesses

Nice to have:

  • Experience in pricing function of a deposit, credit card, or lending business
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel, and PPT; knowledge of Python and/or R a strong plus

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
