We are looking for an Enterprise Risk Management Issue Governance Senior Analyst in our Galileo Mexico City office.
The role
SoFi Technologies’ Enterprise Risk Management team has responsibility for implementing a company-wide risk framework. This framework enables the company to identify, assess, and manage risks to ensure that our business objectives are achieved. ERM’s strategy helps the company anticipate potential risks, minimize the impact of these risks, and capitalize on opportunities that may arise. Ultimately, ERM strives to create a culture of risk awareness and management across the entire company, from senior management to front-line employees.
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Issue Governance Senior Analyst to join our team in the Galileo Mexico City office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training and controls to support the company’s Issue Management program. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management, governance, and compliance, and will possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The role will support SoFi Technologies' (including subsidiaries) Issue Management Framework as part of the Enterprise Risk Management 2nd Line of Defense. As part of this role, the candidate will conduct quality reviews and credible challenge to ensure adherence to the Issue Management program requirements. What you’ll do:
Conduct monthly issue quality assessments to:
Ensure corrective actions fully address the issue, remediate impact and implement strong controls to mitigate future risk and;
Adherence to the Issue Management requirements
Provide 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD) credible challenge for Issue Management program
Identify challenges and develop solutions to drive continuous improvements to the process and incorporate best practices and innovative solutions to the program
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure full adoption of the Issue Management program
Provide guidance and support to the front line business units and functions
Prepare reports and presentations for various audiences (board and management risk committees, senior leadership, issue managers…)
Analyze Issue Management program data for key trends and insights
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in risk management and governance
Develop/enhance Issue Management policies, standards, procedures and training materials to deliver on industry best practices and drive a path from good-to-great
Conduct Issue Management training sessions across the company to drive stronger program adherence
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or related field
Minimum of 3+ years experience in risk management, governance or compliance
Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Experience with regulatory compliance and corporate governance standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Issue governance experience within financial services industry
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change
Proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office products
Strong team player
Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems
Fluent in English
Nice to have:
Experience with Tableau reporting software
