About the Role
We are looking for self-motivated team members who crave a challenge and want to be a part of StreamNative’s growing potential. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager-Streaming, that will be directly responsible for working with customers and communities to drive a product strategy and craft a roadmap that meets the needs of StreamNative Customers and the entire Apache Pulsar community. You will own and drive a product area from high-level concept design to delivery and operation. You will help shape the future in key areas of the product suite evolution. You will partner with teams across the company to identify new areas of opportunity for us to explore.
What You'll Do
- Drive StreamNative Cloud’s product strategy for streaming use cases, enabling software organizations to improve time to value and enable new use cases for Pulsar across their organization and teams.
- Work with the broader open-source community to understand and define user needs and market opportunities and contribute to the StreamNative Pulsar roadmap.
- Educate StreamNative’s internal stakeholders, customers, and the broader community about product features and value.
- Collaborate with internal teams - including customer success, support, sales, and engineering - to understand the customer experience and gaps.
- Meet regularly with customers to better understand needs and use cases and provide context on upcoming product improvements or the product/pulsar roadmap.
- Collaborate with engineering and design to plan product and technical specifications for StreamNative Cloud and core Pulsar functionalities.
- Drive discovery, prioritization, communication, and product validation by working with internal and external stakeholders for your product areas and initiatives.
- Gather and communicate market insights on alternative platforms and solutions.
About You
- You have worked as a Product Manager for 5+ years in a streaming/messaging data infrastructure environment. Startup experience is a definite plus.
- Exposure to open-source, data, and analytic technologies.
- You have hands-on experience with solving problems with data and have experience using data systems.
- You have a strong curiosity and prefer to ask more questions and listen - rather than jumping to conclusions about how things should work.
- You have a strong understanding of cloud technologies and distributed systems.
- Strong writing and project management skills. Have a data-informed approach, and set measurable goals for every project you take on
- You can break down complex technical problems into small, release-able, user-valuable features.
- You can explain complex ideas simply.
