Reporting to the CPO, the Head of Design will be responsible for leading a global team of designers and guiding PicsArt towards a world-class user experience through high-quality product and user interface decisions. PicsArt’s mission is to empower the visual storyteller in all of us. We know how difficult it can be to produce a piece of visual work--whether it’s a selfie, a photo of your friends, a video of your kids, a meme, a fan image, a sign for your small business, a social media ad, or a birthday card for a friend--that expresses what you want to say and makes you feel proud. For decades, only a small group of people could learn the complex (and pricey!) tools to achieve this. Manage, mentor, hire and inspire a global team of product designers
Establish and evolve systems and processes that enable the best design work to occur as well as a culture of deep collaboration and learning
Manage a tight ship on design execution and its partnership with product management, engineering, research and data to ensure deep care for the details
Get involved in key projects from the conceptual phase to giving feedback on in-progress design work to following up post launch to glean lessons and make iterative improvements.

What kinds of people would be a good fit for this role?
You’ve played a significant design leadership role at a prior organization and helped that company establish a strong design culture with a track record of great work. You know how to work effectively with the heads of engineering, product, marketing, data, and more.
You love to mentor designers at all phases of their career, including early-career designers, and you can effectively help them grow and flourish.
You are a great communicator, especially in written form or over video-conference. You don’t mind working across screens with people all over the world.
You are a simplifier. You understand how to take complex workflows and tools and transform them to something easy to understand, with progressive disclosure for mastery.
You have a good eye for high-quality visuals and usable interactions.
You are humble and open-minded. You love to learn, and you believe in being data-informed. You adapt quickly to new information, and you are not afraid to admit mistakes or change course.
