Senior Product Manager - Purchase Orders at Bill.com

Bill.com is seeking a product manager to lead product efforts for our procure to pay experience as a part of our core experience team. You will envision, build & scale a brand new purchase orders experience for customers. You will need a combination of creative product thinking, collaborative mindset, an appetite for calculated bets, a thirst for learning and thoughtful use of data in order to build a great experience for our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Designs and brings to market revenue generating, customer-driven software product experience
  • Customer Focused: Gathers insights from customers, data, research and industry trends and convert them into compelling product ideas
  • Problem Solver: Is data driven and analytical. can propose hypothesis & run rapid tests to validate them
  • Product Owner: Oversees and maintains a deep, detailed and ruthlessly prioritized product backlog (PBL) for a web scrum team, driving towards a well-defined vision and specific goals/metrics
  • Team Player: Builds strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and leaders within our group to ensure alignment and buy-in on the requirements and prioritization of product ideas

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3-7 years experience as a product manager leading a major product or growth initiatives
  • A positive and entrepreneurial mindset. Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve. We’re looking for lifelong learners
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Deeply curious and data-driven. Develops and defends strong points-of-view with data and analytics
  • Deeply understand how the product works and understand every step of the funnel. You can design, run & interpret experiments & A/B tests and probably also know a bit of SQL
  • Capable of decomposing a big vision into bite-size milestones
  • Experience with agile development and methodologies
  • Bias for action and experience with rapid testing
  • Effective influencer and communicator across teams and at all levels    
  • Prior experience working on a procure to pay product is a plus but not essential
  • BA/BS required (Computer Science preferred), MBA preferred

 

Expected Outcomes in 3 months

  • Learn the Bill.com Product and know the product as well or better than our current customers
  • Have a clear understanding of the purchase order process/workflows
  • Get an understanding of the different segments being targeted for this product
  • Own product backlog of a product area and execute the current roadmap
  • Start meticulously tracking the funnel for each of the features/experiments & propose iterations as needed to improve the KPIs towards planned metrics

 

Expected Outcomes in 6-12 months

  • Execute roadmap to deliver features necessary for rolling out the revamped product to new and existing customers of all channels
  • Identify customer needs for the product area & help refine the 12 month roadmap
  • Define and deliver new features that unlock customer growth by solving key customer pain points and providing end user delight
  • Own and maintain a living 12 month roadmap
  • Establish strong relationships with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Payment Operations, & other Partner teams
