Business Operations Associate at SoFi

The Business Ops Associate will have financial skills, attention to detail and intellectual curiosity to help create and deliver data-driven analyses in support of operational solutions for SoFi.  


This role reports to the Director of Business Operations, New Businesses. As an associate, you will support our Money and Member Businesses and will also assist with projects managed by the office of the CEO.


Business Operations works with many teams within SoFi. As such, the ideal candidate will be a dynamic thinker who can work cross-functionally to solve complex challenges with uncertain inputs and outputs.  


A typical week will likely be split in two main buckets: 1) support of regular weekly / monthly / quarterly analyses and reporting in support of the BU they cover and 2) special projects with peers in Business Operations in support of the office of the CEO and other functional groups



  • Support the creation, iteration and ongoing optimization of recurring weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting for the business unit they support

  • Perform ad-hoc activities as requested by the Head of Business Operations

  • Collaborate with Data Science to produce data driven analyses


Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank or high growth business in an analytical capacity

  • Familiarity with financial services and/or consumer technology companies in private and/or public sector

  • Hands on operational capabilities with advanced proficiency in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.

  • A clear communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively

  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude

  • Methodical, self-starter, hands-on
